The Unsolved Mystery of Dr. Lavington is an immersive, city-wide escape room adventure that enthralls participants in the enigmatic murder of a travelling doctor. Set in Alberta’s quaint town of Okotoks, the story revolves around the cold case of Dr. Lavington, an average yet capable individual who once provided relief to local physicians. His life was cut short, found murdered on McArthur stage next to Olde Towne Plaza, sparking an exhaustive yet fruitless police investigation.

With time, the case cooled and the memory of the tragedy washed away, leaving behind a collection of perplexing clues. The peculiar position of Dr. Lavington’s body, pointing east southeast, became a haunting symbol of the unsolved mystery.

Participants are invited to step into this chilling tableau, retrace the steps of the police investigation, and piece together the fragments of this unsolved puzzle. The entire town becomes their game board, transformed into an intricate maze of hidden secrets and veiled hints.

How it works

Step 1.

Choose from the available mysteries! Each mystery takes place in a different town within Alberta’s Foothills. Every story is presented with their own unique story and art style. 

Visit the shop to see each mystery and read more about their stories.

Step 2.

After selecting a story, you will be redirected to the “My Account Page”.  Start your adventure by selecting the my orders tab and clicking the link.

The Story will only be available on one account, so pick a leader to read the story and input the answers.

Step 3.

Once the story is purchased the race is on!

Your account will be active for a total of 48 hours, though the mysteries themselves take between 1 – 2 hours to solve.

Follow the clues and journey through the Foothills to solve the mystery!

Each adventure will last between 1 – 2 hours depending on your pace.

Your account will be granted access for 48 hours.  The adventure must be completed in this time.

Each adventure is best suited for team of 2-6, though only one account will have access. Please select a leader to read the story and input the answers.
